Good evening everyone,
I know that it has been a few days since I last posted here. My friend's upper GI scope on Wednesday revealed that she has an ulcer. She was given medication that she will need to take for twelve weeks to help it heal. They also increased her medication for her acid to twice daily. Her upper GI scope also showed that she has a hiatal hernia. She has to limit her coffee, caffeine, and chocolate intake. They also did a biopsy of her stomach and of her small intestine. We will find out the results of her biopsy in two weeks. On Thursday, her labs and her echo results were good, and she was told that her incision looked much better.
On Friday, my friend texted me to let me know that her brother passed away the night before. It was unexpected.
I need to stay close here so that I can be of maximum service to her. Please hold space and pray for my friend and for her entire family these next few days. I will keep you all posted.
