Today Begins My Cigar Quit Date.

Today, I was blessed, honestly. Yesterday, I got so much support and understanding from this community and some genuinely good advice.

Slowly but surely, I've started doing my own research and keeping a journal. I wanna share a moment that associated me to

Re-posting a repost of an old Classic: I want you to stop trying to quit*

This is a repost from what I wrote March 12, 2009.  It still applies today.

I want you to stop trying to quit.

Yes, I said that. Even more, I mean it.

I browse around here and see post after post from people saying that they are "trying Chantix" or giving th

19 days are 4 hours away :)

This final quit journey continues to fascinate me.  It is so different than all the other times I quit.  I'll take that as the sign that this is truly my last quit.

I initially started out with a pack of cigs. I flushed the nasty smokes down THE toilet.      I am glad that I did get rid of them. This addiction looks more serious than I thought it would be difficult to tackle. I left my thoughts at the toilet. I can't

I’m quitting nicotine tablets after using them for three years!

I was a full time smoker from age 14 until I was 37. I used nicotine tablets to get off the cigarettes, and was completely  nicotine free for over a year. I somehow got it into my head that I wanted to smoke again, but I knew I didn’t really want to… so I

Back to patch after 2 1/2 months nicotine free

I have become increasingly depressed over the time that I have quit smoking (about 4 months except for a few days) and become nicotine free (2 1/2 months).  I spoke with my Dr. today and said that I might get some cigarettes after my appointment.  She sug
