I'm back

OldBones-Larry

I snuck up out of bed to write this. Please keep my secret from my room-mate. She would kill me!!!!   LOL

Just thought I had better come in and catch everyone up. I returned from the hospital late yesterday.

Wendy took me to the ER Monday morning. I was having a Gastric Bleed. Turns out I had a Colitis.

They kept me in for 48 hour observation. Antibiotics and lots of Potassium through an IV for 48 hours.

I made the local vampire very happy with all the blood they drew for tests.

Am now on 2 different antibiotics and bedrest for a few days.

If you have thrown the Sickorettes away, GREAT GOING!!!

If you are here trying to decide if you are ready to quit, take advise from someone that smoked longer than he didn't. Quit before you end up like me. Bad heart, COPD, Lung masses, and now bleeds in the gastric system.

Keep those quits going strong my friends.

With 1101 days, soon to be 1102 in about 15 minutes....

Really?  Do people actually respond to that sort of rediculous scheme?

In case some of you don't understand Pop's comment - someone was "hitting" on Larry early this morning - lol - this spammer has since been terminated.  Good to hear from you Larry - hope that your health continues to improve.

Happy 1102!

I hope you get better soon! It's so hard to be tied down with all the medical interventions! But may I suggest, Caravan Leader,  that you would do us all a favor by doing what it takes to get well? We need you back with us healthy-er leading folks away from the traps and dangers along the road through NML!

Make the best of your Day!

Get better.      Glad to see you are here....missed you but don't do more than you are supposed to do.

Or else I'll have to tell Wendy!

Have a great day!

Feel better soon, Larry.  It sounds as though you are getting good care, that's frightening though.  It was generous for you to donate that blood to the vampire community just before Halloween.

Have a good day and REST!

Wow you're awesome! Not feeling well and sneaking out of bed to write a blog. Glad you're out of the hospital and I hope you're feeling better very soon. It's great hearing from you Larry but please do what you need to do to take care of yourself!

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
