Good morning and a Happy Thanksgiving to all those here on Ex and in the Get moving group and to those behind the scenes of Ex , to those at the Mayo clinic , to our administrator and all their families as well . There are many thanks and many blessings today and every day . One that we all have in common is being right here right on Ex smoke free , but there are also many many more we’ve learned together from being here .
Good to see more stopping in and posting and still I know many more yet to come , past and present .
Maybe today ?
Busy Busy here . Too much to go into but moving with not only the regular stuff but also starting back exercising as well . Like one day at a time I am building myself up one minute at a time . Not easy but doable by action and it feels good when done . There is thanks and blessing in that .
Many of you will be feasting today , some maybe not , I remember my father once telling me that a feast can be a slice of bread and we can be thankful . If you are alone you have a gift to share .
Happy thanksgiving everyone .
Just a few things to update .. closing in on 11 and a half years quit in December . Goal now is fifteen and when I get there 25 . I remember when looking a day into the future seemed scary and maybe not even doable, but if you stick with making smoking not an option and do something else instead , it becomes doable and easier every day and will see yourself quit forever with even bigger and more goals ever imagined . I see that the small steps I took to get started quitting were like those of a child learning to walk and with each passing day we learn confidence in our step . If we feel a little wobbly or fall we reach out for that little bit of support or just get right back up . We just keep not smoking . Walking , walking , walking forward and walking becomes the new norm without even trying anymore .
Happy smoke free thanksgiving to all . Pass it on .
Catch ya all next week .
