1036 days!

Hello everyone, wow! 1036 days with no smoking. I must say I feel great. To anyone out there that is struggling to get through those first 300 days. I know exactly where you're coming from. It was not easy. But, nothing worth anything in life is going to be easy. I did this for myself first and foremost. Secondly, I did this for my son. I wanted to be a good example for him, and be in the best physical health that I can be for Mom. About for 5 months after quitting smoking I joined a kickboxing class. I knew my cardio really really needed work. I'm happy to report that I've been doing kickboxing for right at 3 years. I have lost 40 lbs. I'm in the best physical health that I have been in probably my entire life. Not only was I able to quit smoking, but I inspired both my husband and my mother to quit smoking a few months after I initially quit smoking. It is such a relieving feeling to know that I helped to inspire both of them to get healthier. Now, I try not to be too preachy to my friends and family that do still smoke. I'm very well aware that nobody quits smoking because someone else wants them to. You have to be ready to help yourself. You have to know that you are worth more then the slow torture you are putting yourself through every time you light up. It has been a very long journey. I do not forget all of you that have helped me, and post comments when I was going through my worst days. I think of all of you who have gone further than me, and those that are just starting. Keep up the good fight. I will keep you all in my daily prayers and dedications, so that you may all find happiness. Peace, Love, namaste- Mrs Brock

How wonderful to see you and your beautiful quit still extant!  What a glorious, uplifting, nourishing post.  You just keep on coming back here and spreading your joy.  How lovely that you were able to influence those you love through your example!  Never let it go!

Truly, thank each and every one of you! I read through my early blogs this morning. It was so uplifting to re-read many of your comments. I will never forget you kindness. I don't believe I ever shared this before, but in the beginning of my quit I was feeling suicidal. I have gone through a lot of therapy. I no longer feel that way. This journey has really given me a deeper knowing of myself. Many of you helped me to push through in those first days. Words are not enough to thank you all.
