Give and get support around quitting
Instead of buying 0 Nicotine juice, I chose to not puff the e-cig his morning! And went for a walk. For about 20 min during the walk my heart was beating really fast, but I pushed through, noticed how I felt, and kept walking. It eventually passed. Do you know the "Joy chorus" from Aida by Verdi? I was singing it, or at least attempted to sing it...the street was empty at 5:30 am, and I did not care!
I know there is more to learn, and do, and live, but I am ready for it!
Coud today really be my first day of freedom???
WOO HOO!
It could.
build your tool kit.
say "I don't do that anymore" when you get the urge.
and hang on for the ride.
You are making some excellent choices! Remember - you are relearning your life as an ex-smoker, so continuing the hand to mouth motions do not support that. I don't think e-cigs are safe, either. AND - going for a walk, singing out loud? Both good dopamine replacements.
Good for you!!
Nancy
Thank you, I also took the step to publish it on facebook. Two of my former co-workers quit at about the same and I provided the becomeanex.org link. I am asking everyone to keep me accountable, and can use all the help I can get, thank you for being here for me!
Happy Sunday!!!
Daniela
Good choice going out for a walk and singing instead of just grabbing the e-cig. Like Nancy said we do need to relearn life as a ex-smoker. Keep on going, you are doing great.

You made the right choice !! Just honor your committment and you can do this

You are doing great! Keep moving forward!
I Won't Quit on my Quit!
Keep Singing! You CAN do this!
Yes, keep singing you can and will be successful in this your precious ongoing quit, one day at a time or if need be one second at a time. Walking is a great way to destress and singing is so relaxing.
