I know it’s going to be hard but I got to do it

Hello everyone. My name is Samantha. I’m here to try to stop smoking. I had heart failure 3 years ago. And everyday that I smoke now I’m scared. I don’t want to have a heart attack. My anxiety tells me that all the time. Plus I want to live longer for my 3 daughters.

You can do it! Heart problems and smoking are more serious. I was recently diagnosed with a lower refraction rate from my heart than is normal, so I have a heart catheterization next Monday. I need to quit vaping so I don't make things worse.

It's never too late to quit and help your heart heal and your body get stronger. I'm proud of you!

@JanaLR  Welcome to the Ex and congrats on your desire to quit.

Right now, you're working through the process of your desire to quit and the addiction wanting you to keep it up. You can win that internal battle by educating yourself about nicotine addiction and putting a plan in place with how you'll deal with cravings, identifying your triggers and creating the new associations you'll create instead of smoking.
