What up exers? So, I got some bad news the other day. My father was flown to a hospital because he had a stomach anurysm. He bled out a lot and his blood pressure dropped really low. He actually went out for a minute there.....
So anyway I get the call and drive down to the hospital. It's a few hours drive from where I live. I was fine the whole way. Maybe here is where I should let you all know I've been quit for around 8 months now.
I get to the hospital and meet up with my brother and sisters.  I head back and visit for the alloted time. He is in intensive care, and they're having a hard time stabalizing him. But visiting hours are over, so we all go out in search of a Hotel room. But before we jump in the cars, about 5 people from our group light up their obligatory smokes. After all, we just spent a few hours in the hospital, right? Well as I'm standing there, my sister (who has been quit for 5 years), comes over and says to me "It's OK, I want to smoke one too, but you know we cant"
I say, "how did you know I was thinking about one?"
She told me I was staring at them smoking like they were a piece of meat I wanted a big bite of
I asked her "So you were thinking of one too, after 5 years quit?"
She said yup, even after 5 years she still thinks of one every now and then, usually in super stressful situations like this one.
It just goes to show that little bastard addiction can sneak up on ya whenever it wants to. You just have to say N.O.P.E.
Because just one WILL hurt.

Peace.

Doney.
