Pump Pump it UP!

Okay today we are going to pass along a healthy thought.  Pass a thought that keeps you focused and smoke free.  Could be something someone said or did that helps you.  Something you did or doing to make your journey better. Pledge, quote, memory.  Please take the time to post you could be helping someone else.   Today I am posting this song: Let's pump it up and pass it. Love You all!!!! Have a great smoke free day

Wanting to live a healthy active life got me to the quit, commitment and wanting the health benefits of the quit kept me going and now really starting to feel the benefits of the quit and wanting more of that keeps me going. I want to cross the finishing line at a running event in the next year. That will be a huge accomplishment for me considering I had arthritis in both knees and hips and it hurt to walk and ached all the time. I can run and breathe at the same time now, well I am getting better at it, lungs are still healing and I am pleased at how far I have come. I'm not stopping now. Smoking is definitely not an option. Living a active healthy life is my option and it keeps me going.

Bypass surgery put me on the road to my quit. I searched out pictures of smoker's lungs as well as EX-smoker's lungs. I also found videos of bypass surgery to remind me why I wanted to stay quit. These and other pictures and videos helped me stay on the path.

All the fine quitters here help so very much if you will just let them.

Finding out that I had copd scared the crap out of me the middle of June /14 and I decided if I didn't want to end up on oxygen and die a horrific death that It was time to quit so I layed out a plan and found this site and did a lot of reading here and commented on a couple of blogs someone and I think it was Moody suggested and explained how to do a blog so I did and I believe that I was quit at that point 18 days and I was beginning to have some very rough days which the caring people on this site helped me through to where I am today.
