I am visiting daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter in Indianapolis where the temps have been hovering around zero since I got here. Last night we were joined for dinner at a restaurant by a friend of the kids' who I have known for quite a while. While we were waiting for the bill, the talk turned to the fact that whoever wasn't stuck with paying would be outside by now smoking. Oh yeah, we have all quit. Oh yeah, poor folks who were out in the cold. It was a great way to celebrate my daughter's birthday knowing that we are all healthier, happier and richer. When they lived in the Chicago area the guys would cross to another county to save money on cigs. Lots of reasons that we are all happy quitters.
