I am grateful to be smoke free! I am an artist and make gemstone jewelry. I have a passion for oil painting. I mainly paint portraits of dogs and cats. I like to meet the pets, assess their personalities, derive decor and colors of the client, then take lots of photos.
I've done landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and design/ abstract. I worked on a series of cat people for awhile. These paintings have a life of their own. Lots of movement. Very colorful. Lots of fun to paint.
I am recently smoke free after a 45 year habit of 2-3 packs a day. I was recently diagnosed with Peripheral Arterial Vasculits in my feet and legs...my toes had turned purple. I was told that if I did not quit smoking that I would begin to lose toes, feet and worse. I quit that afternoon.
