I am a 52 year old female and I have been smoking for a long time, since my teens. I work in Real Estate...and it is a bit slow right now. I have a wonderful partner and family. I am getting ready to help my Mom celebrate her 80th birthday and she would love to see me stop smoking as my Grandmother died from emphysema/strokes. I am both scared and excited about becoming an ex-smoker. I am getting ready to call my doctor and see if he has the results of my x-ray from this morning. I look forward to getting and giving support through this process. This morning I told my PA I quit, but had one cig left on the back porch. I cried knowing I was going to smoke it. I found this site and it is giving me some hope! I am going to follow the plan , because obviously my "best plans" have not worked. I know I cannot do this alone. I wrote on the blog earlier and want to thank those of you who have already responded!
