You've Come a Long Way Baby!

Back in the day, ads like these were everywhere.  It's  no wonder so many of us started smoking.  It was "sold" to us as a way to be beautiful and cool.  And by the time I realized that it did not make me beautiful and cool, it was too late, I was already an addict.  Lucy and Desi also smoked - and made it look cool.  They would occasionally smoke one and make it look like it was really just for the pleasure of it rather than feeding their habit.

I fed my habit almost daily for 40 years - it did not make me beautiful or cool.  I have really come a long way Baby - in the past 423 days - just in the opposite direction that this ad took me in the beginning.

Congrats to all of you from day 1 to 10,000!  We have all come a long way, Baby!

I am a 63 year old single woman. I quit smoking at 55 and my only regret is that I did not quit sooner. Freedom from cigarettes is truly a wonderful feeling!
