Hello, Thanks for all of your prayers and support!

After repeated attempts to get through to my Mom's hospital room, she finally answered her phone. Of course I said Mom first and then I had to say her name because it just didn't sound like Mom! But it was. She seems pretty alert but, is in alot of pain and is bruised from head to toe including her face and mouth. That's why she didn't sound like herself. She is not real clear on anything. She turned left in front of 2 cars that were going 45-55 mph. One of the cars skipped. Mom was sited. Her Husband has a broken chest bone from the seat belt! They both will eventually will both heal and be well. They will probably be released on Saturday!

I have a friend that will take me to ssee Mom when she gets back from her honeymoon!

I am not real happy with some family members for waiting over 24 hours to let me know about this accident. I was off to my country music org. having a good time last night and when they asked if prayers were.needed and of course I didn't know prayers were needed. UGH!!  I offered 3 family members money for gas to take me to see Mom in the hospital to see her and they said they just don't have time!

Acceptance is the key here! I won't be drinking or smoking! That wouldn't change a thing!

Thanks for your prayers! They are working! please keep them coming!  EX is the best!    I am ok!

Hello, I am a 59 year old female, name Terrie, still growing up. I have moderate COPD. I am an oxygen patient, currently not in need of the 24/7 or night time oxygen. Thanks to all the great support and education I got here on EX. My original quit date was 07/06/15 on day 519 I relapsed and started over in less than 24 hours. I want to go to the great beyond being a former smoker and I shall! COPD is not choosy! and not pretty! May 1rst, 2017 I am using Dale's suggestion to put off a cigarette each time and I am down from 50 to 20. I am looking forward to my old(7-6-2015)/new quit date 7-6-2017 May 4th, 2017 I started with Marlboro reds. Nicotine is a very assinine addiction. Once addicted I found I would smoke any of it including the little cigar/cigarettes, and it's still true since I threw away my quit and stopped being true to myself. I will smoke ANYTHING with nicotine in it to get the fix. I hate smoking! I am not having a problem stopping it's staying stopped, that I am not doing! I do not buy anything but regular tobacco but if caught without it I will do anything except vape to get the fix. UPDATE POSTED 04/24/2018: Getting ready to set a quit date and begin again :)
