Uhh aren't we all supposed to be here to support each other with quitting smoking???

My one year anniversary of when I quit smoking is tomorrow. I logged on tonight to celebrate that fact with some of the friends that I have made on here over the course of the past year. I've been so fortunate to get to know a lot of you over my short time (wow! has it really been a year already) on BecomeAnEX. I cannot believe I actually have not smoked for an entire year! WOOHOO!

Unfortunately, my celebration became a little bit bittersweet when I logged in and saw the latest comment left for me on my page. According to this person Lori Lynn, she apparently speaks on behalf of the MAJORITY of you here and this is what she decides to tell me...

you know bobbi, i'm one of the majority member's on this site, that think you are on the wrong site, this is a smoker's site, not a porn site. you can start an anti-smoking for other like minded. i believe there are allot of us that feel you are exploiting this site in a manner in which we would not wish to be associated with that is unclean and classified as sinful living according to GOD.

For the record, I have had a great time here and have met some really good people. However, I've experienced a few who give me crap about being on here. I'm really not sure where the miscommunication started but whatever the rumor mill is churning out, is not true. I do not do porn. I am a former fitness/bikini model and ex professional wrestler who does appearances on TV and in movies including movies that are rated PG. Feel free to look me up at IMDB.com and compare my profile with that of an actual real live porn star's (for example Jenna Jameson or any other XXX star) on there. Look up their movie titles and descriptions and compare with the mainstream ones I have acted in. So... I hate to break it to you but I am NOT a porn star.

Regardless, why are we discussing what I do or anyone else does for a living anyway? In fact, even if I were a porn star, I have just as much a right to be here as much as anyone else. After all, being a porn star is a legal job in this country. Whether or not you agree with what a porn star does for a living morally, that's on you, but providing that the person is not some spammer and is actually on here giving support for people who want help with their decision to quit smoking, why would YOU take time out of your busy day to object? I'd be embarrassed if that's how I chose to spend my time. You don't like it, take it up with your government, not me. And may I remind you, I AM NOT in that line of work but I am tired of being accused and persecuted as if I was in that line of work just because I have large breasts. So... I decided that I would not keep my mouth shut on this issue any more, hence this rant.

So why are we even talking about this anyway? Oh that's right... because Lori Lynn felt the need to play God and speak out on behalf of the majority of you guys. And before you comment to me "who is this Lori Lynn person again?" I wish I knew but apparently she's speaking on everyone's behalf on BecomeAnEX.com... Go check out her comments on my page as well as have a look at her blog/witchhunt (update: she removed her blog) and see all the hate she puts forth in the name of God himself. What a great representative of a model Christian/Catholic/whatever religion she is!

Seriously though, I don't know about you but I came on here to escape stress and speak to people who would encourage me to stick with my decision to be a non-smoker forever. I don't care what you guys drive, where you live, how much money you make, what brand of clothes you are wearing, or care about any other superficial way of judging you guys. Alls I know is that we are all here in the same boat, on our own free will. We all used to (or currently do) smoke and we have desire to stop for good. A lot of you helped me with accomplishing one year of being smoke free and I thank you so much for that. I really hope to give back and be one of the people who help you reach your goals someday. Please let me know if I can ever be of assistance and I will do my best to be here for you. Feel free to vent on my blog as long as it doesn't involve you having a cigarette afterwards... 😉

XoXoX,
BB

Hey, I'm just happy to welcome a new member to the one-year club. It's such a wonderful thing to leave that ball n' chain of nicotine addiciton behind and the one-year anniversary is special, indeed. You may find this hard to believe, but it continues to get better as an ex-smoker even after a year has passed.

My only advice: find yourself a regular routine -- once a month or so -- to renew your personal commitment to never take another puff. It's cheap insurance against a brain-dead relapse. I do it once a month on my quitting anniversary.

Aw, give the lady a break! I mean, after all, she's been thru the drugs and the alcohol and the cigarettes and she's 55... nah, forget it. I've been thru it all too, but then I'm only 51, such a young pup!
Graulatio, speciosus dominae!! I know and also recommend Chantix, even w/ the bad press it has. Amazing stuff!
Congratulatons, beautiful lady!! Don't let dim-lites like LL pis.... errr, rain on your day! You have done it and will continue. (oh, and hwc's suggestion is good, too!)

We are all so different, yet we are all the same. Our diversity is what makes us so interesting; our commonalities give us comfort and security. We all come to this place to share, congratulate, commiserate and encourage. I am sorry that your joy at completing a significant milestone was diminished by inappropriate/incorrect judgment. However, when all the dust is settled, the one person whose opinion counts the MOST is yours...but it is nice to have affirmation, isn't it?

I am very happy for you and your experience helps me be strong in my goal to be smoke free, breathe free!

Hi, Bobbi...First (and MOST important)...CONGRATS on that ONE YEAR !!! I just celebrated mine..and it's great, isn't it ??
Next...I wasn't aware that Lori Lynn was back..till now !! She certainly DOESN'T speak for ANY majority here !! She's a known stalker...and mentally unstable...I kid you not !! So ignore her...she comes and goes !!

Just hold tight to the knowledge that you HAVE made some real friends here..and you are a QUITTER !!!! YEA !!

Bobbi, the world is filled with self righteous people and heaven knows EX has its fair share of them. It's just my opinion, but it sounds a lot like jealousy to me! I've only come to meet you tonight, and I'm really sorry about that. You seem like an intelligent, stunningly beautiful young woman and you have every right to be proud of what you have accomplished in this quit and in your life. I have found in my years that those that cast stones at others are VERY guilty of great misdeeds themselves! It's very easy to hide behind God and not take responsibility for ones own actions, and it seems Lori Lynn is quite good at not excepting responsibility for her harsh, unkind and ignorant comments. I'm sure she is proud of her actions, however, she needs to remember that a good Christian, DOESN'T judge her fellow man/woman.
Again, it looks much like to me like a SERIOUSLY bad case of the green monster at work here.
For what it's worth, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE speaks for me here. I, like yourself, are in the best majority of all, we've quit smoking and are being honest about that! I wonder if she can say the same.
Stand proud, continue to be the beauty you are and don't let the bastards get you down and remember, a smart woman, uses all the good Lord gave her to get by in this world, whether it be her brains or her boobs! LOL
CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN ON AN AWESOME QUIT!!!!!! YOU DESERVE TO BE PROUD and I SO HOPE THAT WE CAN BECOME FRIENDS. STAY SWEET!

I'm not here much anymore but I saw your year anniversary and I had to stop by and congratulate you. I remember when you first came on the site I thought for sure your profile was fake because your picture was too darn perfect! Now that I looked at your bio I see that you were in several fitness magazines and I must have seen your photo as it came through my line at work (I'm a cashier) and that's why you looked familiar to me. Well me being me and not one to go along with the "majority" I'm here to say that a year smoke free is awesome girl and heck if I had lungs like yours I sure would be flaunting them! 🙂
