Trip to Duke Medical Center

Will leave at 7AM for a much needed 2nd opinion. I have CROHN'S Disease and have unexplainable diarrhea 5-15 times a day and night!! I have been nearly housebound for almost 9 months. A few other things wrong; just asking for your prayers. It'a about a 2 hour drive and Hubby, Caregiver and I are going. ( in case Miss Bipolar acts up) I feel safe and secure and that's what's important to most people!! Of course, we'll stop a couple of times for Hubby and Caregiver to have a smoke. I'll stay in the car, thank you!!!

That is a terrible disease Candy I hope you can get some relief , I know it is hard to go anywhere when  you have it. My sister suffers from chronic dairrhea and is house bound also...... Have a great day of freedom !

Hi Candy.  Diarrhea is no fun.  I actually had a problem for years.  I saw 3 specialists who said I had IBS.  Stool cultures showed nothing which is not unusual for INFECTIOUS DIARRHEA.  I asked if  I could try a 10 course of Flagyl.  That was 2 months ago.  I am cured.  I read an article a couple of days ago that infectious diarrhea has been on the rise in seniors.  They are not sure why.  I am praying for your healing, sweet lady.  Love,  Barbara
