Thank you everyone for you comments on my blog of 4/19.  I did decide on divorce and there's so much to do around thiis house just to get caught up, so I haven't been here in a while.

BUT I QUIT TODAY.  Any time is a good time not to smoke.  I opted for use Nicorette after all was said and done, so I'm not giong through withdrawals at a time when I need to keep my wits about me.

So far, so good.  I keep telling myself "oh yeah, I don't smoke any more!"  I'm taking it one day at a time and staying close to my feelings so that I can prevent escalation to the point where I might slip up.  And instead of smoking, I have chosen activity when I take breaks.  I'm gong to get my body moving and be careful not to overdo.  Increased circulation, better breathing, here I come!

Your support and encouragement means the world to me.

Good for you! Take it one day - one hour - one minute at a time and remember that cravings only really last 3 minutes!

So glad you're going for it even though things are in transition for you! One craving or smoking thought at a time! Everytime you survive the idea of a cigarette your resolve will get stronger! Just breath!
