My quit date has come and I'm still smoking. I'm not smoking as much as I used to, but I'm still doing it which means I can go back to smoking a pack a day at any moment. I've been able to cut down on the number of cigarettes I smoke because I'm a patient at the San Francisco Nursing Center. I hurt my ankle a few weeks ago and it became infected. The infection spread up my right leg fast and the doctors thought the foot might have to be amputated. But they were able to save it.
