Relaxation Is Who You Are

~~Tension is who you think you should be; relaxation is who you are.~~Chinese Proverb I am relaxed. Relaxed in my quit. Relaxed in my life. It's who I am. But, just as in all things, it takes practice to relax. It takes deliberate thought. It takes conscious effort. Especially if you are used to NOT relaxing or loving yourself. Those pesky little words..."I'm so stupid", "I'm fat", "I can't".....erase them. Those nagging little thoughts..."I'll start tomorrow", "I'm too busy", "I never do anything right"...toss them! Be deliberate in your desire to relax. "This too will pass"..."I am OK"..."I will get through this". Learn to love yourself day by day. Learn to find joy day by day. Tension is not who you are!! Thank you Sheri.  I always get good input on self-help issues from you....and I love when I either have already incorporated these ideas into my regime or begin to incorporate.  Your input, I'm sure, helps all who read your blogs.

sheri, i really struggle w being gentle on myself.  i'm open to suggestions.  the things my mind tells me... if someone else said to me i'd probably strangle them!
