I haven't been on in probably around four or five months. As soon as I quit on the 1st of February I allowed my NRT (gum in this case) to take the wheel. I succeeded in staying smoke free for about four months, then relapsed a few days after I quit the gum. It's obvious to me now that I didn't relearn my life without cigarettes, I simply replaced my addiction to cigarettes with an addiction to nicotine gum. My new quit date is this Wednesday, the 18th. I plan on using this website on a daily basis this time around, along with blogging and cigarette substitutes like toothpicks, water, and good old fashioned exercise. I have yet to decide whether I will try the nicotine gum again. Any thoughts or advice?
