I found this old cartoon that made me smile, by Pulitzer Prize-winning artist Harold Morton Talburt, appeared in the Cincinnati Post, on July 26, 1934,   Sw. Ohio had 7 straight days with temperature being over 100 degrees with July 21 and 22 Temps hitting 108 degrees.   Not to be out done July 1936 had 8 days over 100 degrees with July 14th hitting 106 degrees    Imagine No AC.   The people adapted as whole families were sleeping in Cincinnati parks to escape some of the heat.   They adapted and so have we that quit a Day at a Time
