Once and for all and for good

When I was a long-time (2 years) ex-smoker, I wanted to help everyone else quit. I’d ask “serial quitters” what they planned to do differently to make their new quit succeed. I’d go on about learning from each failed attempt, understanding and preparing for personal pitfalls, and bringing that knowledge into their Forever Quit – once and for all and for good – N.O.P.E.

And now here I am with a series of recent failed attempts telling this community that I’ve quit – AGAIN – forever.

What’s different for me? My instead-of-smoking to-do list:

1. Breathe

2. Move

3. Hydrate

4. Nourish

5. Rest

6. Repeat

And what have I learned from my repeated screw ups? To focus on my physical well being. It’s more important than financial, emotional, or family problems. All problems are made worse by smoking.

Smoking is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done and I’m done being stupid.

Thanks for being here, Ex-ers. I appreciate the company on the journey to well being.
