I have a really good quit going....658 days to be exact and I am very very grateful for each and every one of them. There are some people I know that have recently relapsed after very long quits and for a split second it makes me doubt that I will be able to remain smokefree............just for a second. Then I remember how much I wanted to quit and how after a 2 year quit I had one puff and it took me 18 years to quit again. 18 wasted years of being hooked on nicotine, money lost, health damaged, time wasted.
I feel bad for my friends........but I know that it is a choice they have to make.
I choose NOT to smoke, everyday, one day at a time because I know that I dont have another 18 years to waste.......period!!
