New members coming to Ex know only this format of the Ex community . They know nothing of the old format , so old timers of Ex we need to adjust and check all posts in recent history at the bottom of the home page and post according to this new format . Remember newcomers see only the here and now . We see the past and have to change .
We elders who have solid quits have said we are here because we want to pay it forward and help other quitters . We need to accept the things we can not change , and change the things we can . We can do that . Let's put our newcomers first.
I've noticed newcomers in a few different areas just in the last few days . They need a welcome and support . Please take time to check all recent activity and say hi; search every group on the site . They are posting in the right areas . It's our responsibility to change with the site and remember it's purpose is to help and support smokers through their journey .
This change of Ex is home for new quitters , and a beautiful place to quit just like we had this place will be special to them too.
A team of people including our ex manager have put a lot of work hours into this site for newcomers and for us old timers to do what we stay for so let's continue to do our part and make this the special place it is .
