I AM NINE MONTHS TOTALLY FREE OF ALL NICOTINE!!

CELEBRATION TIME: COOL AND THE GANG

Well, I have made it 3/4 of  a year without any form of nicotine in my system!  As those of you who have been following my somewhat convoluted quit which initially started in late August 2019 know, there were 4 short-term relapses during this time period plus the threat of a 5th just a few weeks ago. But this last time, I went out of my comfort zone and posted for help instead of rushing to the minimart for a pack. And thanks to the support and encouragement of my EX family, I did not succumb.

This time around, I have made a sacred spiritual promise that I will never smoke another cigarette and I believe this has put me on a more stable footing. That, coupled with my recent decision that I will stop fighting this non-smoking business as a cigarette-free life is  much better life for me, is helping to keep me on the path to remaining a  non-smoker.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT

FOR ME, THIS IS VITAL.

❤️

About the Author
Prior to my first quitting on 8/25/2019, I was a heavy smoker for over 60 years. That time, I quit due to health concerns regarding clogged arteries to my brain. Tar deposits from cigarettes were making the situation worse. I had become a prime candidate for a stroke and required surgery to clean out my left carotid artery. I have relapsed 4X since that quit, the last one being on 05.15.2022. ( At one point in all of this madness, I had been quit for 1.5 years). Then on 9/7/2021 I began my recent eight month quit before my current relapse. I am in the process of planning a return to the non-smoking life. After more than 2 weeks of smoking, wheezing and coughing and being short of breath, I have set my new quit date of June 1, 2022 as the beginning of my forever quit. I am done with this madness!! God is good.
