When the cravings hit you must work on convincing yourself that:

You do NOT NEED to smoke.

You do NOT WANT to smoke.

You are NOT missing anything.

You're life will be much better without them!

Now repeat the above each day for a few months until the idea sticks.

You'll never want to smoke again, and you'll love your new-found freedom!

Think past that moment when you light that first cigarette and how it will make you feel. Think to the end of that cigarette and how you will feel then and what about the next craving and the one after that and the one after that and..............................................

The only way to stop the cravings, is not to smoke. NOPE

I love some of the wisdom here and wish I knew how to cut and paste onto my page as good reminders.  Anyone know how to do that?  Thanks.

Thanx Break.  I had to do that most all day today, and I made it thru.  Today I did not smoke.   I pretty much said all those things over and over and over and over , plus telling myself   I Have a Choice.  No more sewage pit.
