You can!!! I'm on day 13, taking it one day at a time, and I'm going to beat this! Why??? Because I believe in ME and I know I'm strong. Doesn't mean that I don't want one....just means I'm not going to give in today. Remind me of this tomorrow please 🙂
We have a blog that is posted daily called the Freedom Train. Its sort of an online party to celebrate your milestones. Check it out and announce your 10 days!
Welcome Billy. Do all the reading and write on the blogs. It helps. Use whatever you need to get over the urges: breathing, atomic fire balls (my personal favorite), jumping jacks. Just do it!
You are right Billy! Knowledge is good and knowing there are others fighting the battle with us make a big difference. I tried another site before I found this one..but it seemed to be zealots. Their post upset me and discourged me where this site seems to be real people fighting the same battle.and offering encouragement.
Welcome and congrats on 10 days! Double digits already!! I think Shawn gave you this in the link above - but, be sure to check out the free course at - http://quitsmokingonline.com/
You've definitely come to the right place for support, and for knowledge! We're here for you, so stick close to the site and blog as much as you want. And, of course, read, read, read! I'm sure that Shawn gave you this link on that page, but I wanted to emphasize Allen Carr's book. It helped so many of us so much, to stay quit because it helps to change the way we think about smoking and nicotine. Its a short, easy read... no d/l necessary, so please check it out when you can. Here's the link:
Its been 287 days (9 months) since I quit, and the reason I've been able to stay quit is because of what I've learned on this site, and the wonderful support here. Again, welcome!
Billy welcome, grats on 10 days.. They gave you some good links. Educating your self is key. This is a wonderful group of like mined people. Who want be free from the addiction.
