hey folks this just may be one of my quickest blogs ever. I am on my way BACK to the hopsital, where I spent most of the night at my girlfriend's bedside. She had been rushed to the ER while I was at work, after a vertebral artery in her neck essentially burst.
I can't begin to express how lucky she is to be alive. Although she will be in the ICU for at least 4 days and will have a year of therapy to follow. Me, last night, when I got that phone call, my first reaction was to search for a ciggie. Thankfully, I got a grip of myself quickly, and realized that smoking was NOT an option.
It is times like this that I realize, how important it is to protect my quit. Still smoke free, and glad I don't have to exit the hospital building every hour to "get my fix".
N.O.P.E.
Peace
