Day 4 of quitting

I smoked for many years, then quit in 2007 and stayed quit until May 2015 when I started again. Now I'm on Day 4 of non-smoking, I really don't want to smoke anymore.

I actually hid my smoking from pretty much everyone. So of course now I can't tell them I quit, etc, so I'm telling this online community! Yay me 🙂

My biggest threat is if I have more than a glass of alcohol. So I'm just going to try to remember not to. I have not had much trouble telling myself no when craving a cigarette for some reason, and if the craving persists I chew a bit of nicotine gum.

Congratulations on 4 days!  you have done it before and can do it again. I agree with Jackie above. I have been on this site for many years now and have seen many lose their quits to alcohol. I suggest refraining from it for quite a while. Read and educate yourself on nicotine addiction. That is the key to a successful quit.
