I haven’t checked in as much lately, but I’m still going strong! Almost at 6 weeks cigarette free! I haven’t faltered one and that’s something to be proud of! My quit smoking journey started when I fell ill and no one could figure it out. I figured, quitting wouldn’t hurt and could only help whatever was going on! After seeing 5 different doctors and 3 different specialists, it appears that I may have a blockage in my heart. I’m saddened by this because I know it’s something I’ve done to myself. A blockage at 36!!! However, it has pushed me to make some huge changes in my overall lifestyle around my health. I’m more motivated than ever to keep going! I’m scared, but motivated. If you’re reading this and haven’t quit yet and are contemplating quitting, please find it in yourself to do so. Blockages do happen to young people. You can prevent it. So many other scary things can happen as a result of smoking. Please consider that you could lose your life. Once you do, you don’t get it back. While I will most definitely survive this, my life is forever changed. I now have to in essence mourn my old life, it can never be the same. Onwards and upwards, right? I wish you all well and will check back in soon! Currently waiting on one more test to confirm the blockage and from there I’ll learn how they are going to treat it. Keep you all posted!
