Watching a beautiful sunrise on the first day of the new year and enjoying the fresh, clean air. This is day 2 smoke free. I’ve quit probably thousands of times, from any where from 4 hours (omg) to a few days to a few weeks to 6 months. I really want this to be the time it sticks but I’m nervous I won’t be able to make it last forever. I found become an ex last year and have been doing a lot of reading and learning a lot about nicotine addiction and it has helped me so much. Going to try to take this one day at a time. My biggest challenge will come when my husband is smoking—this has been my downfall many a time. I have asked him to keep cigarettes hidden and out of sight and told him I won’t be able to be around him if he is smoking.
