Day 19

A little late to the party. I started smoking when I was 15 and now, I'm 58. I first tried to quit when I was 20 and about every year since. I always tried short cuts in the past, tried cold turkey, starting with a 14mg or 7 mg patch trying stop and start method. Nothing worked, so this time I'm starting with the 21mg patch, and I will follow the steps from start to finish. I realize that if the fight is just between me and the cigarette the cigarette will win every time. So that's why I'm here, not only to receive support but to give it. I had covid at the beginning of Nov. and I was given firsthand knowledge of what it's like, to not to be able to breath. That's an experience I don't want to repeat especially because of smoking. So, I'm on day 19 of my quit, A good start, to a long journey.
