Anyone else see this film?
Clean and Sober was a 1988 film starring Michael Keaton. Although it was not a big box office hit, in my opinion, it was Keatons best work, and certainly his most meaningful. It deals w/ a man who checks himself into a rehab center to avoid being questioned by the police, then discovers it's exactly what he needs. It's actually a powerful film on the struggles of addiction and well worth watching. What got me thinking of it was a scene at the end where he is speaking at an AA meeting in a smoke filled room. When he finishes what he was speaking about, he says "Thank you for not smoking" (followed by laughter and applause).
OK, I've typed away, now it's time to get busy
