So, I've survived my first family Christmas celebration without smoking. It was easy though. No one on that side smokes. As a matter of fact, they were all congratulating me on quitting. Christmas day will be different. It will be the first time I will be around smokers since I quit on the 12th. AND it's my family. I hate to say it, but even after we lost our brother to lung cancer a year and a half ago, some of us (well not me anymore) in my family still smoke. I have had a wonderful evening today though. My daughter and her friends home from college and I decorated our sugar cookies. It was fun! I'm finding the evenings are the most difficult lately. AND it is very tempting when everyone else in the house is out christmas shopping and it would be so easy for me to "have just one". I haven't though. And I know many of you are feeling the same way. Let's be strong together!
