msgardengirl320

Didn't make it to the bonfire, but I still see the fire burning this morning. I am throwing in 3,980 cancer sticks & watching them burn (hope the birds & animals are far away from this fire; I wouldn't want them to get sick from 2nd hand smoke!) I have saved $995. I am so proud to be a Free American, in more ways than one!!!! Keep those fires burning friends.

I am new here and have not set a quit date.  I AM reading the materials and doing the free class.  I am getting psyched and have cut my smoking in half in just this past week.  I am feeling more confident.  I am taking control back.

Tossing 1148 cancer sticks in the fire!  41 days!  It still is hard sometimes.  Happy Fourth!  i was at my daughters for a picnic/ bonfire for my grandson on leave from the Marines.  People were smoking and I was chewing-  on my coffee stirrers.  It was a little rough but I didnt touch those evil sticks!  Heres hoping for another 41 days....

I quit on Jun 27 of this year, I have not smoked a cigarette in eight days.

I can say it has been a lot harder the last two days, I am going to hang on and beat it this time.

About the Author
I am 51 yrs old and live in the Greater Cleveland area. I started smoking at a young age. I think it was more peer pressure at that time and just a few cigarettes a day until i became "LEGAL" to smoke. I then started smoking a pack or more a day, using stress as my excuse to smoke more. In reality, I realized after i quit smoking that there is no excuses for smoking. I am approaching 4 yrs next month, but I still have to work to protect my quit. I am here on Ex faithfully helping others and in return helps me. We call it here on Ex "Collateral Kindness" here is a link to my blog, 1 yr later that explained my trials in the the beginning of my quit. https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/blogs/ShawnP-blog/2013/03/14/one-year-later
