80 days! Almost at triple digit club!

No big updates here since 50 days.  Nothing much has changed other than the frequency I think about smoking which is almost never.  Really the only time I think about cigarettes is when I walk by the smoking area at work, not about wanting one though and yes the second hand smoke still smells great to me for some reason, and when I come on this site to see how everyone is doing. Being on this site in no way makes me want one, but makes me realize how far I've come in only 80 days.  No looking back now and will be at a 100 in no time.

To all you new quitters out there....  Just get through that first week! Yes it sucks, but you will not regret it I promise you that.

Congrats on 80 days! I’m at nearly 10 months now and smoke still smells good to me also! But then I get a whiff of those who smell like they were dipped in nicotine and YUCK!

Keep up the awesome job!

Thank you for writing this.  It gives the newly quit hope to read of someone else's early experience!

Even after 7+ years quit, cigarette smoke outside, on a breeze, still smells good to me.  On a person?  In a room?  In a car?  NOPE!

80 days is GREAT!  Can't wait to celebrate your entry into the TDC (Triple Digit Club)!

Keep going!

Yes the smell of the smoke I like.  The smell of the person after they smoke is disgusting to me now.

You sound absolutely WONDERFUL and you are in No Man's Land, thanks for reaching out to newbies and explaining that it DOES get better.  It is a journey and there are ups and downs and some obstacles that get in the way...BUT, ultimately, we own our quits and we are responsible for maintaining them.

Congratulations on 80 beautiful days of freedom.

Congratulations on that 80 days!! I'm on day 80 as well. I feel so detached from smoking. I also love the smell of 2nd hand smoke but limit myself around it because it's also unhealthy, and I have copd.
