Hello all fellow Ex er's. I've read some very sad disturbing blogs this afternoon that has put me in a feeling of wishing I could push a button and fix everyones problems. But I can't so I'm wondering if something I said in Dec. 09 still holds true, and I mean it in the most sincere way. Is there perhaps major issues that need work before a smoking cessation program begins? Maybe since I present myself way too "happy" in my blog "talk" but I infact at age 51 have been through everything i've read here and perhaps then some. Maybe the key is I got out real early in life and slowly but surely realized all we can control is how it all affects us, we can't control what happens cause those events such as how people act, relationships, illness, deaths, breakups, kids, jobs, people, etc are just going to unfold day by day, we will never get everything in perfect harmony, we're not suppose to.
We all have a story, we all feel like ours is unique and nobody gets it. No, everybody has certainly been there. I just feel there are some problems in our lives that a bunch of Nicotine deprived folks can't fix for one another, we can give encouragement in all areas were we've been there, but I still say WE , US, OURSELF, has to put some work into feeling better , not depend on others to make us happy. We also need to look in the mirror and admit when we are wrong and maybe it's us and not the other fellow. Support is great and appreciated for sure, but we can't switch over to it as an addiction (sortave like I've done) and not deal on our on. People are mostly worried about themselves, sad but true.
Please forgive me if this has stepped on anyones toes in particular, and if it makes anyone mad , well maybe once cooled off it will help. Much, Much Peace to all my wonderful friends here at Ex ,,, sincerely.
