My hubby has had a very stressful month to say the least. He was in PCCU (ICU) not sure what the difference is. We almost lost him. He had double pneumonia and with COPD that made things much worse for him. And my smoking in the car with him there, did not help him. Feeling very guilty about that. Was told that if my hubby did not do a turn around in 24 hrs. He'd have to be put in medical coma and tube down his neck. And have his lung scoped out . They pound his back and antibioatics for 24 hrs; he did turned around.
He's been home for about two weeks doing the recovery work, which is very hard when you have COPD and have lost all your strength. But very glad that's he is doing good.
Wish I had just listen alot early to the advice from the elders to just quit and get it over with.
