30 days nicotine free

It is now 30 days for me nicotine free.  The time has gone by very slow for me as I have not been feeling good physically or mentally.   The good news is that I have not had more than a fleeting thought about cigarettes and absolutely no cravings.  I am absolutely NOT white knuckling it which is very fortunate. The desire is just not there.

I am retired, live alone and am a recluse which has made it much easier I believe.

I do not read the posts regarding slips or cravings because I am so new in my recovery and fear that I may relapse due to understanding exactly what the newbies are feeling but the old timers replies are very useful and encouraging.

I just hope that I start to feel better soon.
But there are so many reasons that I am glad that I am not smoking!

Happy 30 Day Celebration!

I don’t think it’s easier because you live alone, or because you live with lots of people, with pets, without pets, it’s hard when it’s you!
Good for you for knowing what posts to avoid and which to look for.

Really REALLY fabulous! 30 Days ‼️

@JuJuCFruit   Big congrats on 30 days smoke free.  You should be so proud of your success.  I understand what you're saying about not reading about relapses.  It can be disheartening.  I just saw my neighbor smoking yesterday--she had quit for 2 years.   Like everyone says, she was just going to have one.

I hope you're not feeling well temporarily from quitting smoking and it's not something else?

About the Author
Smoked for FIFTY years most recently about 1 1/2 packs a day. Cigarettes controlled every aspect of The Who, what, when, where, how, why and if of my life literally. Have made several serious attempts to quit but none lasted at the most more than a few months. This time will be different so help me God... please!
