2nd hand smoke

Thanks be to God I am smoke free for 60 days.  Has any other ex smokers experienced a feeling of suffocation and battling to breath when around smokers and their smoke. My brother in law was here and lit a cigarette in our lounge as I walked in, the feeling that came over me was overpowering,  I had to just get away from the smoke, I couldn't breathe. Shortly afterwards my husband announced that this was a smoke free home.  Wow to think I put him through years of my 2nd hand smoke, how unfair to him.
