14 days smoke free!

They say it takes 2 weeks to form a new habit, and I think I'm well on my way. I've been doing so good lately! I am doing a lot better than I was last time around 2 weeks. I was still anxious, I was still freaking out while driving, feeling like I needed to smoke. I'll walk by people smoking and know I don't need one. Yesterday my boyfriend told me he was going outside, and my first thought was that he was going to get something from the car, not that he was going out for a smoke. Even if you are surrounded by smokers, it's still possible for you to stop, as long as you know the reasons you're doing it. It's also helpful to not get mad at other people for smoking. Don't be envious of them obviously, but also don't look down on them either. You were there once. They just don't know better yet. Now, I must continue packing. Only got 2 more days left! Hooray for new adventures!

Absolutely, do not look down on people who smoke, if anything, feel sorry for them because they THINK they have no choice and they will come up with excuses you will recognize.  It took me a few weeks before I could be around people who smoke..,I mean in their direct company but now it does not really bother me.  I just do not want to smell like them so I have to stand back.

Congratulations on 14 days, you have made it through Hell week and Heck week!  Onward!

they say it takes 3 weeks to break a habit too but smoking was a way of life.

Thank you Judy! Elvan- It's so hard being around them at first but when you live with only smokers, it will happen. And thank you Dale for the blog. I should read that at least once a week to keep it fresh. I feel like my biggest challenge might be becoming to confident and letting my guard down.

Congratulations on two weeks!  That's AWESOME.  Those folks still smoking are jealous of you!  They want what you have - freedom from addiction!

Have you decided on what you will spend your money saved?  It's important to reward yourself!
