The Animated COPD Patient. It is a new website just created for us! Launched by the Porfessors at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, patients and caregivers dealing with COPD will have free access to comprehensive but easy-to-understand education on the disease. This fosters more efficient self-management and a smoother working relationship between patients and health providers, as more knowledge equates to keener awareness and a more open dialogue. Patients will also have access to information on available treatment options they can discuss with their physician. This resource is intended for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
