Spirituality and Quitting: How Identifying as a Spiritual Person Can Transform Your Quit Journey

Spirituality & Quitting _ EX Community.pngWhat does it mean to be spiritual? Is being spiritual different from being religious? How can either religion or spirituality help me quit and stay quit? Any of these sound like questions you’ve asked yourself?  Whether you've already taken the first steps or are still thinking about quitting, understanding different ways of being a spiritual person can be a game-changer.

As you navigate your journey of overcoming nicotine addiction, the EX Community's "Quitting and Identity" webinar series dives into many ways in which quitting can reshape your sense of self. In this installment, we'll explore how spirituality and/or religion can make you feel stronger on your quit journey.

Join us on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:30p Eastern Standard Time on Zoom, as we host a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring expert guest Dr. David McFadden from the Mayo Clinic and members of our EX Community who have lived experience with spirituality in some way supporting their quit journey.

By attending this discussion, you'll learn:

- What the difference is between spirituality and religion

- What role spirituality can play in overcoming an addiction and possibly changing or bolstering your whole self-identity

- Actionable strategies for tapping into your own spiritual or religious beliefs to cultivate resilience and stay motivated throughout your quit journey

- Inspiring stories from people who have successfully leveraged spirituality on their quit journey

This event will include an opportunity to participate, facilitated by an EX Community manager to share your experiences and ask questions.

Whether you embrace an established religion or a more abstract set of spiritual, mystical or philosophical ideals, this event will shed light on the spiritual dimension of quitting. Gain the tools and insights you need to fortify your journey towards your own goals around quitting.
