Greetings Fabulous EXers!
When you join the EX Community you're assigned a standard avatar from a library of illustrations. They're plain in comparison to the unique ones that others choose. Some people do update them but others do not. There are likely multiple reasons... Don't know it's possible, don't know how or tried but had challenges.
I thought it might be fun to have 1-3 people get a nomination daily to receive a new avatar that isn't a standard avatar. Then, whomever is nominated, needs to accept the nomination to have their avatar updated and provide some guidance on what they'd like to see as their avatar or they can provide an image of their choice if they already have something they would prefer to use. Once your avatar has been updated then you need to nominate a person for the next day. Ideally this keeps going and we start to have a variety of new avatars across the site.
This is how it would go:
- Locate someone with a standard avatar. If the person has a photo, then they're avatar isn't standard. All Avatars are illustrations. There are plenty of people using the standard avatars so look around.
- Nominate someone who has a standard avatar to get a new avatar by @mentioning their username in the comments below. Or you can even Nominate yourself if you're not sure who to nominate.
- Nominee must come to the thread.
- If they Accept the nomination: They must reply to the person who nominated them with an @mention and accept the nomination.
- If they Decline the nomination: They should nominate a new person with an @mention so that we can keep it going.
- Nominee must then provide a picture (by attaching it to their post) of their choice OR provide some ideas of what kind of picture they would like chosen for them*.
- Once their Avatar picture is updated by @CommunityAdmin , the Nominee will then @mention a new person to have their avatar updated for the next day.
- To nominate someone. Feel free to copy my sample nomination and then update the @Mention before you post it.
