Jackie, vaping is just a fancy way of using an e-cig. You buy the liquid in various flavors to make it more "fun". The liquid module that you insert into the metal "cigarette" does come in various concentrations of nicotine (the idea being that you will step down in the amount of nicotine used, thereby "quitting" nicotine.) But many people just keep vaping at high levels of nicotine and never actually quit smoking. They've just exchanged one method of ingesting nicotine for another. Besides, one of the biggest obstacles for quitters to overcome is the hand-to-mouth part. Vaping does nothing to eliminate that. The reason they call is "vaping" is because the vaper DOES produce some smoke-like vapor with each puff. It's just a new way of using nicotine to make you feel like you are smoking. Many of the vaping products are supported by the tobacco industry who is looking for new, more socially-acceptable ways for them to sell nicotine. (And get rich off killing people with it...) Hope this answers your question that you asked on "intervention"'s blog. He won't last long here. At least he doesn't appear to be selling anything. Go check out his website called "helpasmokerinrecovery.org".
