Pulmonary rehab...and silliness that followed

I went to Pulmonary Rehab yesterday morning, I have to admit that this is going to be really challenging, everything is so slow.  I am not allowed to work on the machines for more than three minutes and then I have to rest for five minutes.  I was only allowed to use two of the machines and she said that the next time I come that they would try another machine.  It is an arm bike and I don’t think that is possible with my shoulder in the shape it is in now.  I told her that I am more than willing to try but I am just not sure if I can do it.  I have to say that I found the “cool down” exercises to be the most challenging part of the day.  I had to do arm exercises that just about killed me…normally, they would have been nothing but my shoulder is so bad right now that I was pretty close to tears.  I also had an allergic reaction to the cardiac leads, I forgot to tell them that it happened last time but this time it was much worse.  The areas where they were attached were red and swollen and burned like crazy.  I asked the nurse if they have leads with hypoallergenic adhesive and she said she thinks they are out of them but I won’t have to wear them for too much longer.  I HOPE not.  I went from the hospital directly to the grocery store and I picked up some things we needed as well as some salad makings.  I have been eating salads every evening and they had some amazing avocadoes on sale.  I checked out and took my stuff to the car and went to put my cart in the rack and there was a lonely avocado sitting on a cart in the rack.  It was hot and sunny so I figured that it would not last long out there, I took it with me.  I was all happy and feeling lucky because I got a free avocado, I already had five of them that I bought.  I called my husband to ask him to be ready to help me unload the car when I got home.  He said he wasn’t AT HOME, he was getting a haircut.  He said to just carry in the cold stuff and leave the rest in the car and he would get it when he got home.  Well, the cold stuff was, of course, the heaviest.   I managed to get the stuff inside about ten minutes before he got home.  I told him about the avocado and I kept unpacking groceries until I got to the bottom of one bag and there was a pack of Kent cigarettes in it.  I said, oh my God, someone is going to be really upset that they don’t have their cigarettes when they get home.  No, I was not even remotely tempted to smoke one.
