Share your quitting journey
Good morning fellow EXer's! The Freedom Train is on the tracks, and prepared to make its daily run to Freedom from smoking! Everyone is invited to come aboard to celebrate their own personal Freedom and that of their friends!!
If you are new here, this vehicle provides an area for everyone to gather and celebrate the milestones and successes of those in our community! There are no tickets! The fuel for this locomotive is love and caring! The rides on this Train are paid for in contributions to the quits of others! The only thing required to ride this Train is a desire to breathe Free!
We welcome everyone to join in the celebration! No matter where you are in your quit, today is special and is cause for celebration! Celebrate with others and they will celebrate with you! There are no baggage fees! Bring all your "EXtra baggage"! We will help you sort it out!
From time to time we do have questions about counting days. While we encourage everyone to celebrate everyday of their Freedom, here at the Freedom Train we count the days you have completed! Tommy has shared this explanation:
“ For EXample I quit on 01/01/2010. On 12/31/2010 I had reached 365 days. However, I had not completed a year until 01/01/2011! Please feel free to address any questions or suggestions to me at any time.
https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/pir8fan” Thanks Tommy!
We encourage you to come aboard today! Shout out your personal milestones, and those of your friends! Show your pride in your quit! 2 Days, 200 Days or 2000 Days! More, if you have them!
Let us hear from you, and let us all celebrate our FREEDOM!! Post pictures, share music and we love when people bring and share food!
IT IS PARTY TIME!!!
This Train is bound for FREEDOM from the Evils tobacco and smoking!!
"IF YOU ARE NOT RIDING WITH US, YOU ARE MISSING THE TRAIN"
ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ABOARD!!!!!!!!! Conductor Sharon♥
So, I was wondering if there has ever been a day when the Freedom Train missed a route? I can't remember a time. Wouldn't it be great if we could say the same thing about our Quits?
Well, Flaroyale is on the way with 50 days of Freedom! Congrats!!! Tammy, we're all here to help encourage and support you. How about a hat for you to wear today?
No, this one is better for you!
Whichever you choose......remember you are a Winner today and half way to the TDC!!!!
Looking at the National Calendar and have to share a couple of the fun ones:
National Bugs Bunny Day is observed each year on April 30. Bugs Bunny is the famous cartoon character best remembered for his roles in Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies produced by Warner Bros. He is known for his popular catch phrase “What’s up, doc?” Bugs Bunny first appeared in a short film on April 30, 1938, and has since been enjoyed by millions of viewers.
And then we have......
April 30 recognizes another food holiday known as National Raisin Day. Raisins are tiny sundried grapes. While sunlight dries most grapes naturally in vineyards, some are mechanically dehydrated. People have been enjoying raisins for as long as grapes have been growing. Raisins are naturally low in fat and contain healthy nutrients. California produces the majority of the world’s raisin supply.
Hungry?
National Oatmeal Cookie Day is observed each year on April 30. This day is also often recognized on March 18 in conjunction with National Lacy Oatmeal Cookie Day. Oatmeal cookies have been around since the 1800s. The cookies quickly became popular, and by early the 1900s a recipe for the delicious treats appeared on containers of Quaker Oats. Oatmeal cookies are also considered a health food because they are an excellent source of iron and fiber. Just another reason to have an oatmeal cookie today!
Then you could combine the last 2.....
And finally.....a day that we should honor each and every day.....
April 30 is National Honesty Day in the United States.
We know the different kinds of lies. We’ve spared someone’s feelings or fudged the truth just a little or maybe told an all out whopper. Unless we walked on water, we’ve all told a lie or two. National Honesty Day challenges us to be truthful in all we do.
OK......enough. Let's have breakfast
This looks GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!! It's the world's most expensive donut!
Then my "usual" when I go out to eat:
What do you want for breakfast?
Let's celebrate today........and sending prayers out for all those that are having the storms!
My name is Sharon and I have 999 Days of Freedom!!!! (can you believe it?)
