As we move close to Thanksgiving, I want to thank all of you who have encouraged and supported me, made me laugh, made me thnk, made me feel glad to be alive and a part of a wonderful group.  I am nine days free of cigarettes and the urge to smoke has come far less frequently over the past several days.  My sense of smell is increasing, my fingertips no longer smell of tobacco, and my teeth look brighter (though the latter might be wishful thinking so early on after quitting).

For a lot of people the holidays are hard for lots of reasons. If you are one of them, know that I am thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.  There will be a candle burning in my window for you throughout the holidays and the rest of the winter season.

For those of you blessed with great family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope the day is bright with wonderful food and cheer.

There is so much for which to be thankful!
