Nearly 5 days!

Hi all,

I can't believe It's nearly 5 days smoke free for me, it seems as though it has gone so slowly yet so quickly at the same time! The physical cravings are definately gone but I've had a few issues with my mind trying to trick me, such as when I'm feeling lonely, which has been quite a bit lately. If I didn't have this site I wouldn't really have anyone to talk to about this and I know it would've been a lot harder to resist so I'm definately very grateful to you all. I have my counselling session today and in a way I'm glad that I can get into it early in my quit so I can hopefully prove to myself that I can easily get through it without smoking and then I won't build up a phobia about it in my head, thinking 'oh god will I be able to cope?' but I'm nervous I've got to say. I'm fairly certain the drive there should be ok but I usually feel quite drained afterwards and of course it brings up a lot of emotions that I usually hide behind smoking. My normal routine is to leave the office, get in the car and roll and light my cigarette before I have even turn on the ignition! I really hope I can deal with all the feelings that come up without needing a smoke today, I'm really going to be drawing on all the advice I recieved here and I'm sure that will help.

Have a great smoke free day everyone 😃
