Day 88 The end of a pleasant and productive weekend

Greetings, ExFriends. I've made good strides in the healthy eating, increasing (oh, who's kidding who?) STARTING to sit less and move more  I bought resistance bands today and found a video on YouTube that is a 30 minute workout. It's actually a fifteen minute workout that is repeated.  I made it through the first 15 minutes, and then sat out the second, but I will keep building it up.  Tomorrow I start walking during the day -- once in the morning and once in the afternoon I will walk around the outside of my building.  I think it will take about 10 minutes to do it at the pace I can do it.  I will walk as briskly as I can without having to call the Rescue Squad!  That way I have my walking taken care of before I leave work.  Then I can do the resistance band training here three times a week.  As I get comfortable with walking directly around my building I can increase the distance, with the goal of walking around both buldings that are in the same complex.

I'm actually using MyFitnessPal.com to do my food journaling.  I has a fabulous feature that allows you to look up almost any food you could possibly eat, and it will calculate the calories (and the carbs, fats, sugars, sodium, etc.) based on your portion.  Then it saves it so that if you have something you've had before you can just use it again.  I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start being accountable for what they're eating.  They make it extremely easy.

Haven't had even a whimper from my old nico-brain this last week.  I guess I'm so involved in trying to set up this new lifestyle that there just isn't room for that right now (and I hope there's no room for it any more, but that might be a lot to ask).  I remember what Allen Carr says about hoping that you'll never have another crave.  Every day needs to be spent affirming that I have no desire to smoke.  And if you do have a crave you can laugh it off.  Sure makes it easier NOT to romance it.

It was crazy cold here this weekend, but I think the weather is going to be more temperate through the week, and I'm going to get myself out and get moving.

Love you all -- Sweet Dreams!
